It doesn't matter where you come from as long as you know where you are going

Do or Wait?

If you are doing it, it’s not good because you’ve done it without waiting for others. If you are not doing it, it’s again not good… Why did you wait?

Hmm… There is a Romanian saying, very expressive and somehow obscene, that can be translated in “making well is not always good”.

What should you do? Do something and than face the consequences or wait and risk to be blamed for not doing?

CIM and the Forum

At the beginning of 2008 I decided to become member of Chartered Institute of Marketing. I also decided to take some exams for certificates. Everything is ok, I liked the way they presented themselves, the materials, the exams, etc.

There is one thing I don’t like at all. It’s the Forum!

When you consider that ICT is the future in marketing, when you insist in the importance of the Internet in building strategies, it’s very odd to have a forum with only few posts.

Below are some statistics about the usage of the forum that I saw today:

114967 registered users have made 551 posts in 272 topics.
Total people online: 535, Members online: 0, Anonymous members online: 0, Guests online: 535
Users online:

It’s strange to see that there are so few comments on the forum…

Ok, I saw the message: “Please note: We have migrated to a new system and due to data protection, were unable to move all the forum threads. We have migrated the main topics. ”

Where are the old messages? How can I take a look over them? Because in fact now don’t have 272 topics and 551 posts. There are only few…

I was expected that, with this large number of registered users, to have big discussions. I’ve searched over the Internet to find discussion about CIM and about the subjects that refer to exams, assessments and I found nothing.

In rest everything works perfect, materials are very targeted and so on. Just the forum isn’t too “developed”.

Anyone, any idea about where to find forums/discussion about CIM and its certificates?

my photo blog reactivated

I’ve decided to (re)activate both this blog and the Photblog. I promised myself couple of days ago to post at least two posts per week and at least 5 pictures per week.

I hope you’ll enjoy both, so I recommend adding both RSS feeds on your reader :)

Professional Certificate in Marketing

CIM has posted yesterday the results for December session of exams. I passed all the exams and now I’m a proud owner of a Professional Certificate in Marketing. I already enroll for a distance learning center ‘coz I’ve decided to go for Professional Diploma in Marketing, the next step to the final goal that I want to achieve, to be chartered in marketing.

Perspectives in telecom in 2009

As in other beginnings of the year, Deloitte decided to offer for public use a study that is based on facts that they got after discussing with Deloitte’s customers, with financial analysts and telecom analysts. The document is also based on the information provided by the 6000 partners and specialists in telecom industry. In the study they present the trends for 2009.

You can download the file from the Deloitte’s site (and also find a summary in Romanian) and you see the most important points (which I’ve considered important, of course) on my site Stiri din Telecom (even if in Romania, the summary is in English).

For those interested in telecom industry, you have to read at least the summary, if not the whole document, because it contains useful information and interesting trends.

It is unlikely that the telecommunications sector, not to suffered from the global economic climate. But while global growth could be cyclical, the need for telecommunications is and will remain fundamental

heineken vs calsberg

I was almost sure that Carlsberg was the winner. For the moment I’m not sure anymore :)

mine: from my thoughts

Probably we all have moments when we do not want to woke up in the morning as we don’t want to live the day the way it really happens. Or to enjoy the evening that comes because we want to fall asleep quickly, hoping that tomorrow will prove that all was just a dream …

There are days when you sit and wonder what you did wrong, if you did wrong, if it was your fault or if it was your fault too and … Then you realize that you want that such days does not exist …
